by Elisabeth Amalie Eugenie, Herzogin in Bayern (1837 - 1898)

Im mailich ergrünenden Walde
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im mailich ergünenden Walde,
Da steht ein verzaubertes Schloss,
Auf blumendurchwucherten Halde
Ruht träumend das Wild in dem Moos.

Es wölben die Buchen und Eichen
Zum Dome sich rings un das Haus,
Die blühenden Weissdorne reichen
Den bräutlichen duftenden Strauss.

Der Sonne, dem goldenen Glanze
Verschliesst sich der Wald und das Thor,
Doch schweben allnächtlich zum Tanze
Die lieblichen Elfen hervor.

Dann lässt sich Titania erblicken
Auf schneeweisser Marmoraltan.
Doch wird er dir Jüngling wohl glücken,
Dem Zauberschloss jemals zu nah'n?
