Schneeweiße Wetterköpfe 
lagern am Himmelstrand,
auf den gemähten Wiesen 
brütet der Sonnenbrand.
 
Aus den welkenden Gräsern 
steigt ein schwerer Duft,
voll von süßen Gerüchen
ist die zitternde Luft.
 
Langsam gehen wir beide
über das duftende Heu,
aus der blauen Höhe
tönt eines Falken Schrei.

Syksyn aavistus

Lumivalkeita poutapilviä
kerääntyy taivaanrantaan,
niitettyjen nurmien yllä
lepää raskaana auringon paahde.
 
Kuivuvasta ruohosta
nousee raskas tuoksu,
täynnä suloisia aromeja 
on värähtelevä ilma.
 
Verkalleen me kaksi vaellamme
tuoksuvassa heinässä,
sinisestä korkeudesta
kuuluu haukan kirkuna.
