by Jean-Baptiste Théodore Weckerlin (1821 - 1910)

La meunière de Tréguier
Language: French (Français)
La meule tourne, tourne
Au moulin de Tréguier ;
Jeannette se retourne
Et sourit au meunier.
Les tourterelles blanches
Rêvaient au pigeonnier ;
Les deux mains sur les banches.
C'était un beau meunier.

Jeannette se retourne
Souriant au meunier,
Mai son cœur tourne, tourne
Au souffle printanier.
Le meunier dit : « Les roses
Fleurissent ce matin. »
« Beau meunier, que de choses
Vous dites sans latin. »

Jeannette se retourne
De fleurs plein son panier,
Son petit cœur séjourne
Au moulin de meunier.
Vite, ornez la bannière,
Voisines du meunier,
Jeannette vient meunière
Au moulin de Tréguier.
