by Ludwig Amandus Bauer (1803 - 1846)

Vor meinem Fenster der Apfelbaum
Language: German (Deutsch)
Vor meinem Fenster der Apfelbaum
In voller Blüte steht,
Der Frühwind leis, man hört ihn kaum,
Durch seine Zweige geht.
Hell jubeln in frohen Scharen
Die Vöglein fern und nah,
Denn alle Welt soll's erfahren:
Der Lenz, der Lenz ist da!

Aus deinem Auge wie grüßend lacht
Ein Liebeslenz mich an,
Und seine farbige Blütenpracht
Ist vor mir aufgethan.
Meine Lieder in frohen Chören
Jauchzen durchs Land dahin;
Denn alle Welt soll es hören,
Wie ich so selig bin!
