by Adolf Faber (flourished c1861)

Horch! aus allen Zweigen singt's
Language: German (Deutsch)
Horch! aus allen Zweigen singt's,
Und in allen Herzen klingt's,
Und die Bäume rauschen wieder
All' der Vöglein süße Lieder:
Das ist des Frühlings sel'ge Lust,
Und Liebe athmet jede Brust,
Wonnige, sonnige Liebe!

Vögleins Lied ist längst schon aus,
Und in Herbstes Sturmgebraus
Fallen all' die Blätter nieder:
Mir im Herzen klingt es wieder,
Wie aus vergang'ner, sel'ger Zeit --
Wie seid ihr doch so weit, so weit,
Frühling, und Wonne und Liebe!
