Die Wehre zur Hand!
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Wehre zur Hand!
Das Vaterland
Es rufet zum heiligen Streite.
Mit lautem Gesang,
Mit Waffenklang,
So ziehen wir fort in die Weite.

Mein Liebchen, ade!
Thut Scheiden auch weh --
O lasse das Weinen und Klagen!
Es mahnet die Pflicht,
Erzitt're nicht.
Der Mann muß ringen und wagen.

Und sterb' ich im Feld,
So sterb' ich als Held
Beim Klange der deutschen Lieder.
Mein Liebchen, ade!
Thut Scheiden auch weh --
Da droben sehn wir uns wieder.
