by Joseph Huggenberger (1865 - 1938?)

Wieder blüht ihr, weisse Rosen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wieder blüht ihr, weiße Rosen,
stets an zarter Anmut gleich;
o wie mahnt ihr mich der Zeiten,
die an jungem Glück so reich!

Traute Zeugen süßer Stunden,
da ich bei der Holden war,
da ich selig euch durft' winden
ihr ins weiche, dunkle Haar!

Weiße Rosen, nimmer euer
denket sie und nimmer mein,
denn ein stolzer Schlossherr schmückt sie
jetzt mit Gold und Edelstein.
