O schöne Zeiten, da gerne man sein Leben gibt um eine Lippe, die man liebt, o Seligkeit! Sie sind verflossen, und kommt auch tausendmal der Mai, die süße Maienschwärmerei ist abgeschlossen. Wohl jetzt wie immer mein Leben würfe ich dahin! Jedoch um besseren Gewinn, den find' ich nimmer. So schlepp' ich's weiter, so schlepp' ich's fort, wie oft im Sinn ein nutzlos Wort als Waldbegleiter, und harre, harre, bis ich es still und ohne Zweck an einem stillen, stillen Fleck verscharre.
