by Ernst Otto Konrad Zitelmann (1852 - 1923)

Abendlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich geh' den Waldessaum
im Abendschein entlang,
ich höre wie im Traum
der Vögel Nachtgesang.

Der Mond, die Sterne stehen
am blauen Himmelszelt,
die Abendwinde wehen;
wie ist so still die Welt.

Da schlummern in der Brust
mir alle Schmerzen ein,
dass ich in sel'ger Lust
nur noch gedenke dein.
