by Andreas Schumacher (1803 - 1868)

Der Fischer
Language: German (Deutsch)
Fischlein, Fischlein in dem See,
flüchte nicht aus Fischers Näh',
dass ich nicht so einsam steh'.

Mittags sengt die Sonne viel;
o mein Tag, wie bist du schwül -
meine Müh', so ohne Ziel!

Fischlein, Fischlein tief im Grund,
komm herauf und gib mir kund,
wie du froh bist jede Stund'!

Jede Stund' und jeden Tag
ruderst du mit frohem Schlag,
da ich kaum noch steuern mag!

Denn die Netze mein sind leer,
denn das Herz ist mir so schwer -
und am See das Glück nicht mehr!

Confirmed with Novellen und Erzählungen von And. Schumacher, 1. Teil, Wien, 1835.
