by Karl Egon Ebert (1801 - 1882)

Strabas Zauberspruch
Language: German (Deutsch)
Tschart! Tschart!
Höre mein Rufen,
steige die Stufen,
die schwarzen, heran!
Kennst du die Laute?
Es ruft die Vertraute!
Tschart, Tschart,
künde die Zukunft, höre mich an!

Wird's gelingen? Wird sie siegen
oder fallend unterliegen?
Blut und Leichen wird sie bringen,
Brand und Geißel wird sie schwingen;
ob dir hold die Worte tönen?
Wirst du ihr Beginnen krönen?

Tschart! Tschart!
Hast es vernommen,
lass ihn nur kommen,
den Boten, im Saus;
nimm ihm den Zügel,
lös' ihm den Flügel,
Tschart, Tschart,
sende den Boten, den schwatzenden, aus!
