Der Mägde Siegesgesang
Language: German (Deutsch)
Lod're, o Flamme,
Opfer des Dankes,
qualmende Säule,
wirble empor!
Schallet Gebete,
schallet zum Himmel:
Jagababa, Jagababa,
blick' auf die Sieger aus Wolken hervor!

Blutige Rüstung,
schartige Waffen,
flatternde Banner
werft in die Glut,
dass uns die Göttin
wonniger lächle:
Jagababa, Jagababa,
freue daran sich dein himmlischer Mut!

Prahlende Männer
warfen wir nieder,
stürzten aufs Antlitz
schmählich sie hin;
aber wir Jungfrau'n
lachen und singen:
Jagababa, Jagababa,
du hast den herrlichen Sieg uns verlieh'n!
