Der Zigeuner
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wild bewegt von Ort zu Ort,
aufgepeitscht von bösem Wort,
niemals Ruh und sonder Rast,
immer zu in wilder Hast.

Ohne Spur und ohne Herd,
blieb ihm nur sein treues Pferd.
Sohn der Pusta alt und müd...
heute ist sein letzter Tag.

Hör' des Raben Flügelschlag,
hör' ein kurzes Totenlied.
Lock'rer Schnee fällt still herab,
all das Weh verstummt im Grab.
