by Johann Nepomuk Vogl (1802 - 1866)

Hornklang
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schall' hinüber, Hornesklang,
zu dem lieben Hause,
schall' wie Nachtigallensang
in das Mühlgebrause.

Sag', dass Einer ihr nicht fern
weilt in Wald und Kühle,
der bei ihr doch gar so gern
säße in der Mühle.

Sag', wie tief ins Herz hinein
mich ihr Blick getroffen,
dass von ihm für mich allein
Heilung [nur]1 zu hoffen.

Sag' ihr, dass du ein Erguss
stillverschwieg'ner Triebe,
und jedweder Schall ein Gruß
meiner heißen Liebe.
