by Johann Nepomuk Vogl (1802 - 1866)

Dort drüben
Language: German (Deutsch)
Dort drüben in der Mühle,
da haust ein schönes Kind,
wie draußen im Gewühle
ich kaum ein zweites find'.

Was schaust du, munt're Kleine,
doch immer nur heraus,
geh' ich im Frührotscheine
vorbei am Mühlenhaus?

O schließ die Fenster schnelle,
dass nicht zu tief'rem Weh'
ich dich so morgenhelle
so schön und reizend seh'!

O schließ die Fenster schnelle,
und schließe auch das Tor,
eh' noch der Waidgeselle
sein arglos Herz verlor.

Confirmed with Lyrische Gedichte von Johann N. Vogl, Wien, 1844.
