Endliche Fahrt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schifflein auf blauer Flut,
schaukle mit kühnem Mut
frisch in die Welt hinein,
will nicht zu Hause sein!

Segle, mein leichter Kahn,
rastlos den Strom hinan;
noch vor des Abends Schein
hol' ich das Liebchen ein!

Schifflein, durch Nacht und Graus
wand're zu Liebchens Haus;
gern für der Liebsten Hand
lass' ich das fremde Land!

Endlich aus Lust und Schmerz
rette das müde Herz,
schwimme zur ew'gen Ruh'
still nach dem Himmel zu.
