Lied zur ersten heiligen Kommunion
Language: German (Deutsch)
Engel Gottes, leiht uns Schwingen,
lehrt uns beten, lehrt uns singen
vor des ew'gen Vaters Thron,
lehrt das Herz uns fromm erheben,
dass wir Dank und Ehre geben
ihm und seinem ew'gen Sohn!

Welche Gnade, welche Liebe!
Sollten nicht mit gleichem Triebe
wir dir ganz ergeben sein?
Ja, der Vorsatz sei erneuet,
unser Herz sei dir geweihet,
ganz, o Jesu, sind wir dein!

Deiner wollen wir uns freuen,
Sünd' und Unrecht ernstlich scheuen,
dir aufs Innigste vereint
wollen wir das Böse hassen,
nur von dir uns leiten lassen;
sei uns Führer, sei uns Freund!
