Vor meinem Jägerhause sitz' ich nun gar so gern, wenn dumpfes Windgebrause zur Nacht erschallt von fern. Dort lass' mein Horn ich tönen, zu Schwermut nur gestimmt, dass all mein stilles Sehnen so Baum als Strauch vernimmt. Horch, wie mit Sturmesschauern kommt's dann den Wald herein, als hätt' er selbst Bedauern mit meiner Liebespein.
