Amour infidèle
Language: French (Français)
Tendres paroles amoureuses,
Où vous en allez-vous, menteuses ?
        Hélas ! souvent
Où s'en va le serment frivole,
Où va la feuille qui s'envole
        Au gré du vent !
Et l'on a cru, bonheur suprême,
        A tout jamais,
La bouche qui disait : je t'aime !
        Qui blasphémait !

Regard divin, tendre sourire
Qui vous appelle, vous attire
        Et vous surprend,
Où, tout ému, vaincu d'avance,
Naïvement et sans défense,
        Le cœur s'éprend ;
Sourire qui semble candide,
        Dont la beauté
Sert à dissimuler, perfide,
        La fausseté !

Et vous, enivrantes caresses,
Voluptueuses et traîtresses,
        Baisers de feu ;
Etreinte folle où seule une âme
S'abandonne et, grimace infâme
        Qui n'est qu'un jeu.
Puis, tout fuit et dans la souffrance,
        Le front pâli,
On ne garde que l'espérance,
        Du temps, l'oubli !
