by Eduard von Bauernfeld (1802 - 1890)

Zahmes und Wildes
Language: German (Deutsch)
Das Leben fängt jeden Tag
aufs Neue wieder an,
und wie man sich auch mühen mag,
man hat sich nie genug getan.
Schon in des Lebens Lenz
Kampf um die Existenz,
und um sich aufzufrischen,
ein bisschen Lieb' und Poesie dazwischen.
Sollst du nicht scheitern,
gilt's, zu erweitern
des Geistes Schranken
mit Mut und Stärke
zu eig'nen Gedanken,
zu eig'nem Werke!
