Heißa juhei,
du lieblicher Mai,
hast im Herzen den ersten Platz,
bringst mir ja Blumen für meinen Schatz;
will ihr ein Sträußlein binden,
soll meine Lieb' ihr verkünden.
Und du lieber Mai
eine Bitte verleih':
Ist sie wohl abends allein mit dir,
rede zu ihr und plaud're mit ihr,
und sag', lieber Mai,
ich sei brav und treu.
