About the headline (FAQ)

Confirmed with Das Leben Gustav Adolfs fürs deutsche Volk von Albrecht Thoma, Karlsruhe, Druck und Verlag von J. J. Reiff, 1894, page 5. This appears as an epigraph to a chapter, with the indication "Volkslied aus dem 30jähr. Krieg". It is unclear if this is a quotation. We haven't found the text anywhere else.
