Die Einsame
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wenn ich klage, wenn ich weine,
fragt mich nicht, warum!
Jedes Vöglein singt im Haine,
was es suche, was es meine;
doch mein Schmerz ist stumm.

Such' ich Nacht und Waldesschweigen,
folgt mir - folgt mir nicht!
Ach, nur meinen Blicken zeige
Engel, die sich zu mir neigen,
was der Brust gebricht.

Lasst mich einsam sein im Leben,
einsam wie im Schmerz,
Denkt, wenn Freuden euch umschweben:
Schlumm're, schlumm're nur daneben,
du zerriss'nes Herz!
