Chloris sigh’d and sung and wept; Sighing sung and singing slept. And wakes, sigh’s sings and weeps for Amintas, Oh, Amintas that was slain. Oh, had you seen his face, quoth she, How sweet, how full of majesty. And then she stopped. And then she cry’d: Amintas, Amintas, and so she died.
