by Ludwig Liebe (1819 - 1900)

Spanisches Ständchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Durch Orangenblütendüfte,
durch des Äthers Zephyrlüfte,
durch des Fensters Efeuranken,
durch des Liebchens Traumgedanken
schwebe hin,
Liebessinn,
wieg' sie sanft in Schlummer ein!
Flüst're ihr
nur von mir,
lass im Traum mich bei ihr sein!
Meiner Augen reinste Sonne,
meiner Wunden bestes Heil,
meines Herzens höchste Wonne,
meiner Seele schönstes Teil!
Schlafe wohl, schlaf' wohl!

In Orangenblütendüften,
in des Äthers Zephyrlüften,
in des Fensters Efeuranken,
in des Liebchens Traumgedanken
Zitherklang,
Minnesang,
ruhet, bis die Sonne glüht!
Holden Gruß,
heißen Kuss
bringt ihr, wenn die Nacht entflieht!
Schlafe wohl, due reinste Reine,
du mein Wunsch, mein stilles Fleh'n,
du mein Traum beim Sternenscheine,
mein Gebet zu Himmelshöh'n!
Schlafe wohl, schlaf' wohl!
