by Ludwig I, König von Bayern (1786 - 1868)

Antwort
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie es zuging, frage nicht,
dass von Wonne ich umflossen;
hält sie uns doch rings umschlossen,
leuchtet uns des Himmels Licht.

Frage nicht, wie sich's gefügt!
Was ergriffen hat mein Wesen,
konnt' ich ja in deinem lesen;
diese Antwort, sie genügt.

O dein Ausdruck nicht betrügt!
Wie des Äthers klare Bläue
deine Seele, Wahrheit, Treue
spricht dein Antlitz, das nicht lügt.

Schöpfung blüh'nder Phantasie!
Deine Züge atmen Frieden,
durch die Tugend dir beschieden,
sind die schönste Harmonie.

Confirmed with Gedichte des Königs Ludwig von Bayern. 2. Teil, 2. Aufl. München, 1829.
