by Michael Rosing (1830 - 1904)

Morgensang
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Himlen er lys og blaa,
Svalerne smaa
Flyve med Hvin alt i Luften paa Jagt ,
Skoven sit Taageslør Kaster, og hør !
Lærken paa Marken er vakt.

Yndigt i Duggens Bad
Blomster og Blad
Skjælve og hviske de lønligste Ord ,
Natten sin Dør paa Klem Holder, mens hjem
Drømmene sagtelig ror.

Dejlig Du Morgenvind
Bær' til mit Sind
Kvægende Friskhed fra Hav og fra Sky,
Var mig end Natten tung ,
Gjør mig dog ung
Morgenens Lærke paany.

Frisk som et Bølgeslag
Dejlige Dag
Ruller fra Evigheds Hav Du nu frem,
Løft mig med sagte Sang
Under Din Gang
Op mod dit himmelske Hjem.

Lad til det gode Værk
Viljen stærk
Glad idit Solskin sin Vinge slaa ud ,
Synker den, mind ved Kvæld
I Dit Farvel
Den om en naaderig Gud. !
