Da liegst du endlich still vor mir
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Da liegst du endlich still vor mir,
Du mein gelobtes Land!
Wie lange stand mein Sinn nach dir,
Wo ich mein Liebstes fand!

Der blaue Himmel ausgespannt
Schaut selig über dich.
Und tausend Stellen wohlbekannt
Wetteifernd grüßen mich.

Die goldnen Stunden kehren all
Dem trunknen Blick zurück.
Vom Baume dort die Nachtigall,
Sie singt von unserm Glück.

Und selig wär' ich ganz und gar
Gingst du mir nur zuseit,
Die all der Wunder Schöpfrin war
In jener goldenen Zeit.

Und, Liebste, fühlst du's nicht? Dir schwillt
Die ganze Seele zu,
Die so viel Liebes nie vergilt,
Was Gott mir that und du.

Blüh' denn, mein Paradies, um mich!
O selig könnt' ich sein.
Doch fließen Thränen bitterlich.
Denn ach, ich bin allein!
