Note: The musical manuscript of Lang's incomplete song only contains the text up to and including the first three words of line 3, although the vocal line could accommodate the text up to and including the first four words of line 4. The rest of the text above was cobbled together from two copies of the poem in Lang's hand in a different manuscript booklet.
