Ei, wer sich auf Wellenhügeln
Froh schaukeln lässt,
Da schwebt und wogt man auf und nieder

Aus Grundes Nacht.
Doch kann Undin' in Liebesgluten
Undine sein?
Jüngst tanzte froh sie auf den Fluten,
