by Édouard Guinand (1838 - 1909)

Aubade
Language: French (Français)
Viens ! la terre à peine éveillée
Exhale une suave odeur,
Et sur la cime ensoleillée
L’oiseau babille avec ardeur.

Le ruisseau d’un plus doux murmure
Enivre le val déserté.
Rien encor de son onde pure
N’a troublé la tranquillité.

Aux premiers reflets de l’aurore,
Tout s’anime, tout se colore,
Tout est jeune, riant et beau,
Dans la plaine et sur le coteau.

Viens ! nous verrons naître les roses,
Et le zéphyr faire sa cour ;
Nous aurons l’étrenne des choses
Dans leur fraîcheur et leur amour.
