from Volkslieder (Folksongs)

Era la vo
Language: Italian - Sicilian
Era la vo (che beddu stu nomu:
Cu ci lu misi è un galantomu).
Ritornello
Bo, bo, durmi nic[u] e fa la vo.
Bo, bo, durmi nicuzzu e fa la vo.

Era la vo (sunnizzu veni
Veni a cavaddu e un veniri a pperi).
(Ritornello)

Era la vo (durmiti durmiti
Ca li arvulichi sun murti di siti)
(Ritornello)

Note provided by Garrett Medlock for the ritornello, line 1, "nic[u]": Sadero's score source gives "u" in the sung text and "o" in the typed text at the front of the score. There are several inconsistencies between these two, including use of "vo"/"vò" and punctuation.
