En glimlachend naar mij genegen,
De donkre dag is moedernaakt
En licht is elke droppel regen;

'k Heb weer mijn vreugde en mijn trots
En al mijn heerlijkheid veroverd!

Zoo schuift het duister
en het licht Van de Eeuwigheid over uw leven
Zij glimlachend uw aangezicht
Rustig tot de Eeuwigheid geheven!
