Heimweh
Language: German (Deutsch)
Bekannte Lieder tönen
von fernen Bergeshöh'n,
und mich ergreift ein Sehnen,
dorthin, dorthin zu geh'n.

Beim milden Licht der Sterne,
beim ersten Sonnenstrahl,
blick' ich in jene Ferne
wohl mehr als tausend Mal'.

Die fernen Höh'n sich zeigen
am lichten Sternenzelt,
doch jene Lieder schweigen,
erstorben bleibt die Welt.

Und schweigt ihr auch, ihr Lieder,
mit hoher Himmelslust
tönt ihr doch ewig wieder
in meiner heißen Brust!
