Freut euch! Wie spannt der Himmel weit
sich über Land und Strom und grüne Erde!
Es hallt 
der Wald, 
es liegt so schön
sie liebe Sonne leuchtend auf den Höh'n
und kündet, dass der Tag euch segnen werde.

Freut euch! Seht ihr den Vogel nicht,
der froh im Morgenglanz die Flügel breitet?
Es blüht 
sein Lied, 
es tönt so weit
der tiefe Dank, die laute Seligkeit,
mit der er jubelnd in den Äther gleitet.

O freuet euch! Blitzt doch der Teich,
dem Auge Gottes gleich, ein herrlich Grüßen,
ach Brust 
an Brust 
genießt das Glück,
des holden Daseins kurzen Liebesblick,
eh' eure Tage in das Dunkel fließen!
