by Vilhelm Bergsøe (1835 - 1911)

Æbleblomst
Language: Danish (Dansk)
I svundne Tider man ristede ind
Ved Midnatten tavs og stille
De mørke Runer i Æblets Kind,
Og lod det i skødet trille --
Da tvang de Ruber det strideste Sind
Og bøjed den stiveste Vilje.

Jeg rister i Vaardagens lysende Pragt
I Blomsten, saa skær som en Lilje,
Usynlige Runer, hvori der er lagt
Hvad Øjet, men aldrig Læben fik sagt --
Men selv skal du have din Vilje!
