by Franz Bernhard Heinrich Wilhelm, Freiherr von Gaudy (1800 - 1840)

Die Biene, der Käfer, der Schmetterling
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Biene, der Käfer, der Schmetterling,
Die lassen nie das Wandern.
Sie summen, tanzen, schwirren flink
Von einer Blume zur andern.

Vor jedem Kelche halten sie,
Das Handwerk zu begrüßen,
Und ihrem Sprüchlein wird sich nie
Das Blumenthor verschließen.

Nicht Blüthenduft, nicht Honigthau
Vermißt der genäsch'ge Geselle,
Und nimmer brummt die geiz'ge Frau,
Betritt ein Neuer die Schwelle,

Doch Biene, Käfer, Schmetterling,
Wahrt euch nur vor Gensd'armen,
Vor Schwalbe, Spatz und Distelfink --
Die kennen kein Erbarmen.
