Des hemels naar de donzen rozenglans,
Waar Zij in daagde: een breed-gewiekte krans
Van zielen had zich onder haar gereid.

Een geur van zomer-bloesems begeleidt
De zang der zonnen - duiven - die heur trans
Doorglóren in eerbied'ge rondedans
Om Haar, wier glimlach sferen groept en scheidt;

'Schoonheid, o, Gij, Wier naam geheiligd zij,
Uw wil geschiede; kóme Uw heerschappij;
Naast U aanbidde de aard' geen andre god !

Wie eenmaal U aanschouwt, leefde genoeg:
