O kirchenstille Waldesruh',
du traumverlornes Schweigen,
ein Friedenshauch geht von dir aus,
so wundersam und eigen.

Kein fremder Laut aus weiter Welt
will störend zu dir dringen,
nur leis vom fernen Dorfe her-
tönt eines Glöckleins Klingen.

Du sanfte Ruh', geheimnisvoll
du liebliche Idylle,
