¿De dónde?
Language: Spanish (Español)
Our translations:  ENG
¿De dónde vendría el amor,
De muy cerca o muy lejos?
¿Con un baúl de pasíon
Y una canasta de besos?

¿Y por qué traería un paquete
El cual llevaba escondido?
Pero yo vi en el membrete
Penas, dolores y olvido.

¿En quién estaría pensando,
Y por qué al verme pasar
Se me quedaría mirando?
Ese día te conocí
¿Y quién me iba a mí a decir
Que nos estaba esperando?

Tu te llevaste el baúl
y la canasta de besos
Y quizá sería por eso
o por la casualidad
Que a mí me tocó el paquete
El cual llevaba escondido
Y me quedé con las penas,
los dolores y el olvido
¿De dónde vendría el amor,
De dónde?

From where?
Language: English  after the Spanish (Español)
Where would love come from,
From very near or very far?
With a trunk of passion
And a basket of kisses?

And why would he bring a package
Which he carried hidden?
But I see on the letterhead
Sorrows, pains, and oblivion.

Who would he be thinking of,
And why at seeing me pass
Would he stay, looking at me?
I met you that day,
And who was going to me to tell me
That he was waiting for us?

You took the trunk
and the basket of kisses,
And perhaps it would be because of that
or by chance
That the package touched me,
Which he carried hidden;
And I remained with the sorrows,
the pains and the oblivion.
Where would love come from,
Where?
