Sonntag
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ein Ruhetag! O wer es wirklich weiß,
was er bedeutet: Einmal ganz sich laben
am bloßen Dasein, rein am Augenblick,
nachdem ein hartes, zwingendes Geschick
durch Wochen lang' die Seele uns begraben!

Einmal sich selber folgen, notbefreit,
nicht vergewaltigt von den toten Dingen,
nur schauen, selig, alles, was du liebst,
dem du aus reinem Herzen Dasein gibst,
mit überströmend voller Kehle singen!

Einmal am Morgen, gnadevoll erwacht,
hinauszuschreiten in das holde Leben,
den langen Tag auf hundert Wegen hin
und müde, bis die Abendwolken zieh'n,
den Menschen Blumen nur und Liebe geben!
