by Karl Stieler (1842 - 1885)

Nur einen grünen Tannenzweig
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nur einen grünen Tannenzweig
Bring' ich dir heim vom Wandern heute;
Ich brach ihn an dem Waldessteig,
Wo ich einst ging an deiner Seite.

Ich taucht' ihn in die blaue Flut,
Wo ich dereinst mit dir gezogen
In Sommerglut, in Herzensglut -
Spürst du den Gruß von Wald und Wogen?

Denn wie der Bergsee, tief und kühn,
So flutet stürmend meine Liebe,
Und wie der Zweig da bleibt sie grün,
Wenn es auch ewig -- Winter bliebe.
