τῆς πολιῆς τόδε σῆμα Μαρωνίδος, ἧς ἐπὶ τύμβῳ γλυπτὴν ἐκ πέτρης αὐτὸς ὁρᾷς κύλικα. ἡ δὲ φιλάκρητος καὶ ἀείλαλος οὐκ ἐπὶ τέκνοις μύρεται, οὐ τεκέων ἀκτεάνῳ πατέρι: ἓν δὲ τόδ᾽ αἰάζει καὶ ὑπ᾽ ἠρίον, ὅττι τὸ Βάκχου ἄρμενον οὐ Βάκχου πλῆρες ἔπεστι τάφῳ.
