Det blæser saa koldt, det hyler saa vildt,
i Gaslygten Glassene klirrer,
klaprende danser paa Krogen et Skilt,
og Vejrhanen pibende svirrer! -

nu Blæsten har bøjet din Elsker?

Hører du Stormkrogens raslende Larm
og Regnskyllets Slag mod din Rude?
hører du ham, der har drømt i din Arm,
staa dyngvaad og kalde herude?
