Unter blühenden Bäumen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Unter blühenden Bäumen
lieg ich in Einsamkeit,
von alter Zeit,
von alter Liebe zu träumen.

Sehnsüchtige Stille ringsherum,
nur Bienengesumm
und fern im Tal ein Glockenklang:
Ob Hochzeitläuten,
ob Grabgesang,
ich wills nicht deuten.

Lenzwolken ziehn mit sanftem Flug.
O Jugendleben,
das lang verblich,
o Frühlingsweben,
was lockst du mich?
Goldsonnig Fernen lachen.

Neues Hoffen, neuer Trug!
Lenz, des Zaubers ist genug!
Nein, wieg mich ein
zur süßen Ruh
und decke du
mein träumend Haupt mit Blüten zu!
Rosig Dämmrung hüllt mich ein:
O seliges Verschollensein,
schlafen und nimmer erwachen!
