by Theodor Renaud (1844 - 1910), as Theodor Vulpinus

Kleine Wäsche
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schnurre, schnurre Käterchen,
Im Lehnstuhl sitzt Großväterchen,
Im Ofen brennt das Feuerchen,
Die Fliege kriecht am Mäuerchen,
Am Boden zappelt das Bübchen,
Die Sonne scheint ins Stübchen.

Die Sonne besucht das Käterchen,
Den Stuhl und das Großväterchen,
Den Ofen und das Feuerchen,
Die Fliege und das Mäuerchen,
Aber das Büblein will ihr nicht passen,
Weil es sich nicht mag waschen lassen.

Confirmed with the anthology Am eignen Herd. Ein deutsche Hausbuch, a reprint by Salzwasser-Verlag; original Verlag von A. Titsse, c1886, page 210.
