„Grüß Gott Dich Schatz viel tausend Mal,
Du Lerche trag' den Gruß,
Fort über Berg und Wald und Thal,
Da ich nun weiter muß.

Wie ist der Wald so grün und dicht,
Der Himmel blau und rein!
Leb' wohl mein Schatz, vergiß mich nicht,
Wirst nie vergessen sein.

Studenten singen dort im Thal,
Ein Posthorn tönt darein: —
Grüß Gott Dich Schatz viel tausend Mal —
Frisch in die Welt hinein."
