by Moritz Heydrich (1820 - 1885)

Ännchen im Garten
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wenn ich nur wissen sollt,
was er mich fragen wollt,
als ich ihn sah!
Immer und immer noch,
seh' ich ihn vor mir doch
ist er nicht da!

Ob ich die Mutter frag',
ob ich's dem Vater sag'?
Ja, aber was?
Alle die Blumen hier
scheinen viel schöner mir,
nie fühlt ich das.

Hat denn die Welt um mich
seltsam verwandelt sich?
Sicher ist's so!
Ob's ihm nur auch so ist,
wenn ich das sicher wüsst,
Dann wär ich froh!
