Durchs Haferfeld trotz Heck' und Hag
Jung Frida kam gesprungen.
O Sonnentag, o schöne Welt,
nun ist die Klag' verklungen!

Im Haferfeld auf sonn'ger Au'
erblüht die schönste Blume;
es wächst im Tau auf Hag und Hald',
das Glück - sagt Marl, die Muhme.

Beim Haferfeld ein Reiter kühn
vorüber kam geritten.
Er sah es blüh'n - o schöne Welt!
Flugs ritt er auch inmitten.

Durchs Haferfeld trotz Heck' und Hag
jung Frida war gegangen.
O Glückestag! Ein junger Held
ein Bräutlein hat gefangen!
