by Julius Karl Reinhold Sturm (1816 - 1896)

Im Wald an der Quelle
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im Wald an der Quelle
Sproßt üppig das Grün
Und Vöglein singen, und Blumen blühn,
Und munter plaudert die Welle.

Es plaudert die Welle
Von Liebe mit mir;
Die Vöglein singen, Herzliebster, von dir
Im Wald an der heimlichen Stelle.

Im Wald an der Quelle,
Da flecht' ich zum Kranz
Die Blumen, damit sie im flüchtigen Tanz
Dir bringe die rauschende Welle.

Und hat dir die Welle
Das Kränzchen gebracht,
So weißt du, daß deiner verlangend gedacht
Treuliebchen im Wald an der Quelle.
